What would it take to show that a formula works?

In every row with a number, the bottle is far below the study amount. The blend averages about 9 mg per ingredient, found by dividing 200 mg by 22.

What did the chromium trials find?
It is the only ingredient with a number on the label, so it is the easiest to check. A 2019 review of 58 trials found slight drops in fasting glucose and HbA1c, and the clinical meaning was unclear (NIH ODS: Chromium fact sheet). In one 24-week trial of 137 adults, chromium made no difference.
Those trials gave 200 to 1,000 mcg a day. GlucoZen gives 1.4 mcg. Even if chromium helped at trial doses, a result at 1.4 mcg is not shown by any study we know of.

Diabetes
Does GlucoZen work for diabetes?
GlucoZen is not a treatment for diabetes. The label says it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. The ADA’s 2026 standards say supplements are not recommended for glycemic benefit (ADA Standards of Care 2026, Sec. 5).
NCCIH adds a firm warning: never replace medical treatment for diabetes with an unproven health product (NCCIH: Diabetes and dietary supplements). If you take diabetes medicine, keep taking it exactly as prescribed.
Gymnema and Asian ginseng in the blend may lower blood sugar. Ask your doctor before starting GlucoZen if you take insulin or any diabetes pill. Treat a reading under 70 mg/dL with 15 to 20 grams of fast-acting carbohydrate and recheck in 15 minutes (NIDDK: Low blood glucose).

No timeline is published, because no trial exists to give one. Studies of single ingredients lasted about 10 to 24 weeks and used far larger doses. A 24-week chromium trial found no effect.
